Sitelinks - Worth it?

The answer for me is always a yes!

Using Google Adwords' feature called sitelinks you increase the size of your advert without any extra cost per click. They not only increase the size but also give the customers more options when coming to you site.

A good tactic is to add your 'sale' or 'offers' page to these as it shows that your competitive and could easily lead to an extra sale or to, helping increase those important ROI figures!

Want a Simple Way To Increase Adwords ROI?

DONT CHOOSE STUPID KEYWORDS!

I see it all the time, where people sell a product and put the most ridiculous keywords and are impressed when their CTR hits 0.10%.

Let me give you an example...

If you sell Indonesian Beds, then the term 'Beds' is a BAD keyword for you! The best keywords will be:
  • Indonesian Beds
  • Indonesian Furniture
  • Teak Bed
It sounds simple, but people completely over looks this. By having 'Beds' on broad match, you are opening your ads to appear to anyone search for anything to do with beds such as:
  • Camping beds
  • Cheap beds
  • Argos beds
  • Beds for sale
  • King size double beds
  • Love beds
You get the idea!

Reply to this post with your site and I will be happy to suggest a few terms that you should be targeting.

Take care!

Sitelinks - Worth it?

There is a lot of debate about the new open feature called Sitelink Extensions. Some people love them, other think it's just Google's way of making people bid more at the top for positions to make them appear.

Personally, I think it's one of those things that is good when in moderation. I would recommend you add them to your account, make them stand out and make them count. Do not worry about your positioning or let it affect your bidding strategy, as they are not worth the hassle.

Google say they increase business and Click Through Rate by 25%, but again, you must remember their incentives!

To install them, simply follow these steps:

  1. Login to you account.
  2. Go into the campaign settings of the campaign you wish to add them to.
  3. scroll down to the Sitelinks extension, and go crazy!
Remember, make them relevant to the campaign as they must follow all this criteria to show:
  • You ad must be on the left hand side of the results.
  • The Sitelinks must be relevant to the keywords.
  • They must link into real pages.
For more information or if you have any questions, simply reply to this post and I'll be happy to help!

Good luck, and increase that Return on Investment!

PPC - What is it all about?

Pay Per Click Marketing (PPC) is the process of paying for adverts in the sponsored link of Google, Yahoo and Bing. To some people it is very simple but to most, it is very complicated! I aim to help those people completely free of charge as I have a lot of experience in this industry and think many companies charge far too much for management.

If you have any questions please comment on one of my posts and I will do my best to help you!
